Arizona Association of School Psychologists (AASP)

 52nd Annual State Conference

Advocacy and Leadership: Taking Action and Empowering Change

Fall 2020 Virtual Sessions (Series of Four)

Conference Information: Please join us virtually for the 52nd Annual AASP Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Advocacy and Leadership: Taking Action and Empowering Change.” After careful consideration we decided to make changes to the structure of our annual state conference this year in order to support your personal safety and health. Therefore, the AASP 52nd Annual Fall Conference will be conducted virtually due to public health concerns related to the coronavirus. We know the connections gained at the conference is something we look forward to every year so, while we will miss you all in-person this year, we are also excited and hope you are able to enjoy our virtual modality of professional development this year.

We hope that a virtual conference enables our members to attend where travel has been a concern in the past and even more so now. We also hope that this format will enable both our members and interested non-members to attend high quality training opportunities in school psychology. To help you manage “online learning fatigue”, the conference has been spread out over the course of four days in order to be flexible and responsive to your professional development needs. You may register to attend all or any combination of the conference dates that fit your schedule.  This conference will run as a four part series enumerated below and listed in more detail here:

Series 1 : Thursday, September 24th (full-day training) We had over 150 people! Great success! Lots learned.

Series 2: Friday, October 23rd (half-day training) Register here.

Series 3: Thursday, November 5th (full-day of training and additional conference activities including keynote and breakout sessions, poster session, virtual happy hour and raffle)

Registration for Series 1 (Sept 24th) and Series 2 (Oct 23rd) will open separately and you will be able to register for each of these individually. For Series 3 & 4 (Nov 5th and 6th) registration will open together; you will be able to register for one or both days and choose your desired sessions at the time of registration. For Series 3 & 4 you are required to attend the session that you registered for, there will not be changes made after registering for your selected sessions. We have reduced overall conference registration fees this year. Additionally, if you plan to attend both Series 3 and 4 and register for both at the same time then you will receive a small discount in registration fees.
