Assistant Clinical Professor or Assistant Professor of Practice in School Psychology - Phoenix, North Valley #604400
This is a non-tenure track faculty position for the academic year based in Phoenix, Arizona with some travel to Flagstaff, Arizona. The position is renewable, based upon effective performance, availability of funds, and program needs, with the possibility of a multiple-year appointment. The appointment will begin Fall 2019 academic semester. This position also has opportunity for summer course teaching. This position is in the Department of Educational Psychology, which is in the College of Education, and offers a combined Ph.D. in Counseling/School Psychology, Ed.S. in School Psychology, Master’s degrees in Counseling, School Counseling, Student Affairs, and Human Relations. The Department of Psychological Services in Clark County School District has approximately 170 school psychologists who are in turn supervised by licensed school psychologist administrators. School psychologists in Clark County School District are encouraged to provide a myriad of services and assistance with a broad-based service delivery model including consultation, collaboration, problem solving, counseling, mental health assistance, crisis intervention, program evaluation, training, and assessment.
We are working on a Multi-Tiered System of Supports, and utilize the RTI model to identify students suspected of a specific learning disability.
