Hello fellow Arizona Association of School Psychologist members, and thank you for making me President Elect of AASP. By way of introduction, I earned my Ph.D. in School Psychology from The University of Memphis in 2000, and I've been working as a School Psychologist with the Gilbert Unified School District since the 2000-2001 school year. In addition, I teach some graduate courses for Northern Arizona University's Distance Learning program. My wife Lori and I live with our daughter Makenzie in Queen Creek, and we enjoy many of the activities that this wonderful state has to offer.

I would love to see AASP membership increase, because I believe that participation in AASP is valuable in many ways. It provides school psychologists a resource to meet and interact with other colleagues. In addition, I think participating in the activities of the Arizona Association of School Psychologists is one way to make our careers more rewarding. In an effort to increase membership as well as greater involvement by current members, I will be corresponding regularly through the AASP newsletter and through the new website. As part of my duties I will attend AASP Board Meetings and AASP Executive Leadership Committee meetings, so I will have plenty of information about the current activities of the organization to share with all of you.
